I like this piece. I think that the white space actually helps the image, for without it, the shoe would blend into the background (even though the shoe is a different shade). Although I can easily see that is Old Woman Who Lives In A Shoe, I think it would be more effective if you put a door or windows on the shoe, to indicate that they are living in it. Great piece.
